Vena Salva
Vena Salva, meaning "vein of pure water," owes its name to an ancient spring that once flowed beneath the valley.
The property is located in Località San Giacomo (Santu Jacu), nestled in the countryside between Sant’Antonio di Gallura and Arzachena, within a landscape of rare and authentic beauty. Surrounded by 50 hectares of woodland and majestic granite boulders, it is a secluded retreat that once hosted ancient stazzi, traditional Gallurese dwellings that were the heart of the area’s rural and pastoral life. Very simple buildings, with a rectangular layout, that feature walls made of local granite (the famous "Giallo di San Giacomo").
Following a conservative restoration using ancient techniques, we have transformed these simple buildings into comfortable and convivial living spaces for couples, families, and friends, where natural light invites you to gather and relax in complete privacy.
Vena Salva is a hidden refuge for those who want to retreat themselves into an astonishing heaven, immersed in an untouched wilderness. Whether it's a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a relaxing time with friends, our property provides the perfect setting to relax and restore.
Discover our Stazzi
Our property consists of three guest houses (stazzi), each independent and well spaced from the others.

Gallura and its sorroundings
In the authentic heart of Gallura, among granite hills and the scents of the Mediterranean maquis, the countryside of Sant’Antonio di Gallura is the ideal starting point to discover one of the most fascinating areas of Sardinia.
Here, time slows down, nature dominates the landscape, and every corner tells an ancient story shaped by wind, stone, and tradition.
From here, you can explore the iconic beaches of the Costa Smeralda and the unspoiled La Maddalena Archipelago, perfect for days spent by the sea amid turquoise waters and protected natural beauty.
Lovers of trekking and breathtaking views can venture into the Limbara mountain range or reach Capo Testa, with its evocative Valley of the Moon, unique granite formations, and lighthouse overlooking the sea.
Gallura is also a land of villages and culture: San Pantaleo, an artists’ village nestled among the rocks; Aggius, famous for its traditional carpets and the MEOC Museum; Tempio Pausania, an elegant granite-built town; and Luras, home to the Museum of the Femina Agabbadora and extraordinary millennial olive trees, including the legendary S’Ozzastru, one of the oldest trees in Europe.
Places rich in mystery are not to be missed, such as Nuraghe Majori, the Giants’ Tombs of Pascaredda, and the archaeological site of Lu Brandali, remarkable testimonies of an ancient civilization. The experience is completed at the table with tastings of Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, local cheeses, and cured meats, often enjoyed directly at local wineries.
Between sea, nature, history, and authentic flavors, Gallura offers a slow and immersive journey, leaving lasting and unforgettable memories.
